October 9 - 12. Currant, San Diego

I have just arrived home from San Diego California on a visit with my sister and her husband. I was given the opportunity to photograph the restaurant where my brother-in-law is the executive chef!



Chef Walter was testing out 5 new dishes for the menu and I was lucky enough to not only photography the yummy food and the surroundings, but I was able to taste and enjoy the food!




This was a great experience for me. I was able to use my knowledge of interior spaces to capture the beauty of the hip and trendy dining room and bar ....







....I also used my experience with portrait photography to get great action shots of the Chef in the kitchen...





....and finally, I was able to use my much-loved but not much-used macro lense to capture the essence of the gorgeous product. The food was beyond delicious!

Our Fairy Princess

We bought this princess dress at the Renaissance Festival this fall - our little girl loves wearing it, so I thought it would be fun to take pictures of her playing "fairy princess".
She told me the other day that when she grows up she wants to be a flying teacher for fairy's!

Late Summer 2009

Hello!
I am finally back to my blog after nearly 2 months of frustrating computer issues! Thankfully, everything was recovered and I am happily working on a much newer and better computer.
Since my last posting, I have had several photo sessions. I spent a lot of time at Norenberg Gardens in Minnetonka - a great back drop for pictures! I also took photo's of a family at their home on Rose Lake. It is a beautiful time of year to take pictures in Minnesota, and I was lucky to have the opportunity to work with these wonderful families!

My session today was with my friend who designed my fabulous website. Thank you again and I hope you like your photo's!
I just finished editing them and will have them to you this week - I love the picture of "L" with her bubbles, she was a really impressive bubble maker!

July 10. 2009

Today I met my good freind and her son at Norenberg Park in Orono. I had never been to this location before, and it was a perfect setting on a perfect summer day. Mom is gorgeous and 5 year old "E" was so polite, patient and charming! He really helped make this session a lot of fun.
The pictures are a suprise for Daddy, and I am sure he will love these photo's and much as I loved taking them!

Another beautiful sunny day at the Minnesota Aboretum with the "F" family!
This little boy had great energy and a sunny personality! He was so patient with over an hour of taking pictures. His mom and dad are gorgeous and I loved having the opportunity to photograph them.
